Watkins Glen, NY -- In the Daytona Prototype class the cars will be endurance tested for the first time since Daytona as the five Daytona Prototypes attempt to go six hours at Watkins Glen International.
Cegwa Sport will be returning to the series with Darius Grala sharing his car with RJ Valentine. The Toyota Fabcar last was seen at Homestead and is a welcome addition back to the series.
The Brumos Racing effort will have a new face in their paddock as Chris Dyson will share the #59 with JC France and Hurley Haywood. The team will be looking to carry the momentum of their 1-2 finish at California into the six hour race at the Glen.
The G&W Motorsports BMW Picchio DP2 was supposed to have Geoff Bodine and Brett Bodine co-drive with Darren Law this weekend. Unfortunately Brett was hurt in a single car wreck at Michigan this past weekend and will not be able to attend. Brett's turn at the wheel is going to be filled by the talented Andy Lally.
Six cars will battle in the GTS class as the cars take to the track for six hours of grueling battle. Mosler Automotive looks like the pre-race favorites as they will be with the driving talents of Justin Bell and Joao Barbosa in their #30 Mosler MT900R.
Also in the hunt will be the Heritage Motorsports #48 Mustang with Tommy Riggins and Dave Machavern in the car. Other contenders in the class all have chosen a Chevrolet as their mount of choice.
