Mooresville, North Carolina and Petaluma, Calif., (May 14, 2009) - TRG Motorsports and TRG will be running eight cars and a truck in four races on two coasts in 36-hours.

David Gilliland will be going for the weekend Hat-Trick at Lowe's Motor Speedway starting Friday, May 15th with his appearance in the No. 7 TRG Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series North Carolina Education Lottery 200 race. Gilliland will then transition to the No. 71 team Sprint Cup car for the Sprint All-Star Open race and then, hopefully, the All-Star race and then come back for the Coca-Cola 600 in 10-days.

On the West Coast, running the Verizon Festival of Speed at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, TRG and the sports car crew will be running five Porsche 997 GT cars and two Porsche KONI Challenge cars. The TRG team of Spencer Pumpelly and Ted Ballou lead the Grand-Am Rolex Series GT driver's points championship. The team is also coming off of a win with Duncan Ende and Pumpelly in the KONI Challenge Series two weeks ago at New Jersey Motorsports Park.

TRG will deploy an army of over 125 people at two different tracks and four different races this weekend.

Kevin Buckler, TRG Motorsports team principal and TRG team owner, will be focused on the performance of all nine hot rods on both coasts.

"We have a divide and conquer strategy in place for this weekend," Buckler said. "I will be with the seven sports cars at Laguna Seca. Mike Brown (TRG Motorsports general manager) will oversee things at Lowe's with Butch Hylton (TRG Motorsports Camping World Truck Series team crew chief) managing the truck and Slugger Labbe (TRG Motorsports Sprint Cup crew chief) handling the Sprint Cup car. We have all of our racing resources on the track this weekend. The Lowe's weekend is probably the biggest of the year besides Daytona. We decided to put David in the truck to showcase that effort and of course the All-Star Open race will give David the chance to race his way into the big event on Saturday night. Our NASCAR team is still actively seeking a sponsor/partner so we are looking forward to a strong performance this weekend. On Saturday our KONI Challenge cars will race at Laguna Seca, where we will be going for our second win in three weeks. On Saturday night we will be cheering David on from Monterey and then Sunday we will hit the track with our five GT entries in the Grand-Am Series. A full plate, but the resources are in place to be successful on the Atlantic and the Pacific."
