TOPEKA, Kan. (May 5, 2010) - World Challenge Championships teams are being rewarded by a loyal group of partners who have posted more than $1.5 million in contingency and prizes for teams in 2010.

Manufacturers such as Honda Performance Development, Mazda, Nissan North America and Volkswagen of America support teams and drivers who showcase their cars' abilities. HPD will pay Acura drivers who place in the top-10 in the GTS class and Honda Civic Si drivers in Touring Car, including a $10,000 bonus to a winning car. Mazda's program provides Touring Car drivers with a prize through sixth place, including $7,000 to win. Nissan drivers in any World Challenge class earn a reward for a win, and Volkswagen has upped the ante for Touring Car drivers this season who finish in the top 5, including $15,000 for a win and $2,500 for a pole.

Two high performance wheel manufacturers, BBS of America and Forgeline Motorsports, have prepared wheels for each car in the GT, GTS and Touring Car classes in 2010. Those who win on BBS of America products will earn a $300 credit towards their products, while Forgeline rewards competitors through third place with $500 to the winner.

AST Suspension was so impressed with its first weekend of World Challenge competition that the company increased its participation to include $2000 of product credit eligible for AST 5000 Series components and air jack kits for a wining car in any class running AST decals.

To help support teams, all of which fill their tires with nitrogen, Airgas provides a credit on their bill to the top three finishers in each class, including a full credit to the winners. Hawk Performance provides product assistance to the first, second and fifth place finishers in each class who use their high-performance brake systems.

Even racing-related service products, such as racingjunk.com, have gotten in on the act and provide support to World Challenge competitors in 2010, including a three-month membership to the website for applying the appropriate decals to the race car.

Sanctioned by SCCA Pro Racing, the 12-race 2010 World Challenge Championship continues May 21-23 at Mosport with the Victoria Day SpeedFest Weekend presented by Optima Batteries. For more information, please visit www.world-challenge.com.
