Seat time with the Porsche Club of America has factored in the history of several professional sports cars racers. As 2012 winds down, here's a snapshot of what some members of the extended PCA family are doing on the bigger stages.

In the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge by Yokohama:
  • After Round 13 (of 14), the Platinum Cup standings included Madison Snow (2nd), Fernando Pena (3rd), and D. Bryce Miller (6th).
  • NGT Motorsports, Miami, Florida, held 6th-place in the team standings.
  • Potomac Region's John Ellis (Wright Motorsports) won the Platinum Cup's Hard Charger award for Round 8 at Mosport by improving seven positions.

In the American LeMans Series (and SCCA):
  • South Carolina native Leh Keen finished 2012 as runner-up in the GTC class, behind teammate Cooper MacNeil for Alex Job Racing.
  • Scott Tucker, Level 5 Motorsports, won the P2 championship with co-driver Christophe Bouchut, and then garnered the SCCA national champion in D Sports Racing (DSR).

    In Grand Am Road Racing:
  • Jade Buford, who got his amateur start in Porsches, finished 10th in the 2012 Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge (GS), driving an Aston Martin.
