Team Bucknum will field a two-car effort at the Monterey Sports Car Championship at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca on September 22. The number one car, #56, will be piloted by the same threesome, Jeff Bucknum (Arizona), Chris McMurry (Arizona) and Bryan Willman (Washington), that has driven the Fairytale Brownies entry all season long and to an LMP 675 class-best three wins in 2003.

The second car, #55, will be driven by Bret Arsenault (New Hampshire) and Pierre Erhet (Germany). Both cars are royal blue Pilbeam MP84s with a Nissan power plant. Arsenault raced in the American Le Mans Series with Team Bucknum at the 2002 Petit Le Mans, and this season, with Archangel Motorsports at the Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio where he co-drove with Ben Devlin to a second place finish in the LMP 675 class.

"We started the year with a two-car effort and scaled things back after both cars didn't finish either of the first two races," said owner/driver Bucknum. "As most people know now, we have our program sorted out and we're not only finishing with great consistency, we're finishing with great consistency on the podium. We're ready to get back to our original game plan."

Both Arsenault and Ehret have been regulars on Team Bucknum's Star Mazda Series team for the past two years. Arsenault is 13th in the Star Mazda Series 2003 drivers points chase despite having not run the full Star Mazda
