When you see a Porsche Boxster on the road today, it's hard to believe that it was introduced nearly ten years ago. Like the famous 550 Spyder that is its ancestor, the Boxster is one of those cars that has a timeless design - one that not only looks good after a mere ten years, but will continue to turn heads in the year 2040. Porsche certainly got it right when they created this car, which was first sold in 1997. The Boxster drives as good as it looks and is still the benchmark model in the two-seat roadster market, despite the best efforts of the BMW Z4, the Mercedes SLK and the Honda S2000 to displace it.

For 2006, Porsche has kept all the best qualities of the Boxster in place while making small improvements that enhance the driving and ownership experience.
