From 25th november until Dec 4th. The 49th edition from the Essen Motor Show takes place at Essen Germany. Originally started as the Jochen Rindt Racing Show in 1968. Due to the decline in the European car market a lot of manufacturers turned their back on the Show in recent years. But others like Abarth, BMW, Ford, Peugeot, Porsche, Skoda, Renault have always committed themselves to the Show, just like their partner the ADAC. The ADAC traditionally presented their Junior supported drivers for the 2017 season. The Ford GT was officially introduced to the German public as well, though it raced at the Nürburgring 1000 Kms. earlier this year. But it caught at least a lot of media attention. On the other side Ferrari celebrates their 70th anniversary next year. And there was already a small preview from what the fan might expect next year at several Shows around the Globe. But also the 40th anniversary from the VW Rabbit(Golf) was being celebrated. For this year there were 500 exhibitors from 21 countries and during the week the organizers hope to attract 300.000 paying visitors. During the first weekend already 130.000 went through the gates. Other main attractions were some U.S. Crazy Cars like the Lowrider Sprint Runner and the Oklahama VW Pick Up being powered by a Jet Engine as well as some design studies. And of course a lot of cars which made DTM History.
