Autumn means Showtime again. For the third year the Dutch Interclassics organisation staged the third edition of the Interclassics at the Heysel Exhibition Place at Brussels. Five leading European museums presented their top 3 cars and they currently have a strong co-operation for more to come in the near future. The highlight of the Show was a very special and being opened by the Argentinian Zapp family. In 2000 Argentinian Herman Zapp and wife decided to go for a trip to Alaska. They chose a Graham Paige car from 1928. Meanwhile Hermann and Candelaria have been on the road for 17 years now and four kids were born(two girls 8/9 and two boys 12/15). They have visited 84 countries since last week with this car. Unbelievable but a very good story. They have written a book under the title “Spark Your Dreams” And it is already the 6th edition. A wonderful family. But there was more to spot like a beautiful CanAm McLaren, a Sbarro Ferrari. an IROC George Follmer Porsche, the Indy 500 Pacecar from last year etc. For the vintage motorsport enthusiast it was a show not to be missed with one of the best openings I ever saw.
